The Ashburton Swim Team is in its Seventh year after the amalgamation of Allenton Swim Club and Ashburton Aquatics.  It began its first season with just 20 competitive swimmers and ended last season with over 50 competitive swimmers.  The club is fed by a comprehensive learn to swim programme run by the Ashburton Community Pool.  With three coaches overseeing the squads, all levels of competitive swimmers from national level to junior carnivals are catered for.

Swimmers can train both in the morning and evening sessions depending on squads, varying from five to six days a week.

The Ashburton Community pool is a six lane 33 1/3 metre heated indoor pool with a separate learner’s pool.
